Service Technician Apprenticeship in Italy (Mechanical/Electrical)
Objectives
• Learn and demonstrate proficiency in basic machining skills.
• Learn and demonstrate proficiency in shop math.
• Learn and demonstrate proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Develop and demonstrate a technical aptitude for assembly and troubleshooting of high speed packaging machinery
Responsibilities
- Must be self-motivated, requiring a minimum of supervision with daily tasks and assignments.
- Use hand and power tools common to assembly operations; such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, drills, taps, sander, grinder, surface plate, measuring instruments, scales, dial indicators and gauges.
- Operate drill press, band saw or small lathe, drill and tap holes, to occasionally make minor modifications or rework incorrect part or component.
- Perform operations required to properly build units.
- Select and examine parts, components, or purchased items for apparent defect.
- Install in prescribed or proper manner and use care to fit, align, secure, check, adjust or modify and rework for proper operation and relationship including close tolerance timing for initial/final packaging component/machinery test operation.
- Maintain a professional attitude, manner, and appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Technical certification/degree, 2 years minimum required
- Passing score on electrical or mechanical qualifier
- Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day and lift 50 lbs.
- Road Warrior, willingness to travel 75% including holidays and weekends
- Valid Driver's License required with no major violations
- Ability to get a US Passport
