IT INTERN – Supply Chain & Logistics
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Applications: December – February 2020
Interviews:  January – March 2020, on a rolling basis
Offers:  Late January – March 2020
Internship: 40 hours/week for 10-13 weeks, typically May – August; part-time also available

Internship Summary:
This internship will provide insight into the Supply Chain & Logistics processes and SAP system solutions of the global leader in Animal Health (Life Sciences Industry). This intern will work alongside the Global Supply Chain & Logistics IT Global Solution Center teams by completing project management/coordination activities to support the management/delivery of the project/enhancement portfolio. While the primary workload will be related to project coordination, the internship will provide visibility into the operations of an IT Global Solution Center and the cross-team cooperation/integration required to deliver IT projects/solutions to business needs/problems. 
The intern will also get exposure to the functional capabilities of SAP Applications and Project Management tools and processes. Based on the interests of the intern we can also adjust the role to provide some hands-on experience with SAP as well as access to functional SAP training materials.

Internship Job Duties:

  • Coordinate projects including scheduling and facilitating project team meetings and status updates
  • Drive project task to completion across multiple IT areas (Supply Chain & Logistics, Commercial, Finance, Operations, Infrastructure, Security, & Reporting)
  • Maintain and develop project plans in Microsoft Project (MS Project On-line Server)

Internship Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Computer Science or related area
  • Understanding of or interest in Supply Chain & Logistics processes such as Demand/Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Product Distribution
  • Desire to learn about program and project management related to IT projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Any knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Enrolled in a degree program during the Spring term preceding internship
  • Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies and a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screen
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving & analytical skills
