Customer Product Quality Intern (January 2020 - July 2020)

Customer Product Quality Intern
Start Date: January 2020
6 Month Internship, Full-Time

Job Responsibilities:
  • Participate and assist in customer/dealers visits to gain a technical understanding of customer complaints
  • Analyze all relevant customer satisfaction data and studies that relate to product quality and reliability
  • Provide support in identifying and addressing top customer quality issues to factories with current product performances
  • Assist in recommending and reviewing quality issues, short and permanent corrective actions with Vehicle Integration, Assembly, Customer Satisfaction Teams, Program Management and Vehicle launch teams
  • Participate in New Vehicle Launch, task force meetings, and port checks to ensure customer quality issues are given the proper attention
  • Ensure that the activities are shared with VW & Audi to maximize potential for synergies and best practice sharing.
  • Work closely with quality engineers to support identification and elimination of quality issues
  • Gain an understanding and impact of quality surveys (JD Power IQS, CSI, APEAL, SSI, Consumer Reports and various enthusiast publications)
  • Perform statistical analysis utilizing warranty and internal quality survey data to monitor trends
  • Assist in addressing top technical issues and push them through the resolution process with different factories
  • Obtain detailed knowledge of department processes, technical information sources and vehicle diagnostic process
  • Participate in reporting and investigative activities to identify technical issues
  • Assist in conducting statistical analysis of data sources and forecasting trends  

  Qualifications:
 
  • Must be enrolled at a university/college or graduation date must be within the last six months
  • Bachelors / pursuing bachelors in business or bachelors of science degree in automotive technology/engineering with strong statistical/data analysis skills
  • Motivated to learn new principles, ideas, and have excitement in applying these new principles
  • Motivated to make a positive impact in the work environment and on the quality of the products produced
  • Analytical and deductive skills – use evidence and facts to reach conclusions
