PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUMMER INTERN
WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?
- Full-time Summer Internship will last 10 weeks
- Internship will pay $15/hr
- You will not be alone, we are planning a Summer Intern cohort with planned activities to help network and get the most out of your experience.
- Based on college credit criteria, internship may be eligible for hours towards college credit.
WHAT WILL YOUR WORKDAY LOOK LIKE?
You will be working with an outstanding group of individuals who are experts in not only project management, but also as a part of a healthcare organization. You will be an active participant in the day to day activities within the Project Management Office team by attending meetings and utilizing the skills necessary to help move a project forward. Activities can include researching information and data, reading documents to help with project planning, and coordinating user activities. While each day may be different, you will get to be in on the action when it comes to project management.
HOW WILL YOU QUALIFY?
- Pursuit of a degree in Project Management or a related degree with an emphasis in Project Management.
- At least 45 credits earned toward undergraduate degree preferred.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills.
- Extremely strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Exchange-Outlook.
- Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Must apply with a cover letter, resume, copy of your college transcript, and an instructor’s letter of recommendation.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH YOUR TIME (not all inclusive)?
- Will assist in all aspects of Project Management.
- Will work directly with various teams of people in a variety of areas.
- Will participate in weekly project team meetings.
- Will provide input for improvements to projects.
