What does an Audio-Video Support Specialist Intern do?

•         Participates in a variety of challenging assignments, similar to those handled by full-time staff.
•         Sets up audio-visual equipment, including microphones, projection equipment, digital displays, and other technical industry equipment.
•         Equalize and maintain audio-visual equipment during the course of in-house events, and making sound adjustments to ensure appropriate quality.
•         Resolves low to moderately complex technical problems.


What department does an Audio-Video Support Specialist Intern work in?

The Audio-Video Specialist Intern will be working on the local IT Client Services Support team, with primary responsibility for users in the Kansas City office. This team handles the thousands of audio and video events each month.

What skills and experience do Audio-Video Support Specialist Interns need?

•         Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an in an Audio-Visual or Multimedia related program.
•         Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•         Initiative and leadership skills.
•         Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•         Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to, Windows 10, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
•Intermediate knowledge of audiovisual systems, basic knowledge of video conferencing systems.
•          Intermediate knowledge of installing and uninstalling software, and basic Windows administration.
•         Ability to lift 20 pounds and run or secure floor cabling.
