Claims Technical Intern

In this Internship you will be Responsible for providing assistance with research, development, coding, testing and debugging new or enhanced system applications to provide more efficient processes and a streamlined workflow. Will working directly with the business/customer and a team lead to understand current processes, programmer will analyze and provide recommendations for process and workflow improvements. Responsible for basic quality development, coding and testing of solutions to ensure solutions meet the customer’s objectives. Partners with team members to monitor, troubleshoot, correct, and communicate production issues in a timely manner. Prepares basic reports for management regarding status of project(s). Accountable for enhanced system application training, documentation and dissemination as assigned. Assists with change and communication for projects to ensure benefit and acceptance of improvements are realized. On call support required. This year long Internship will start May 11th, 2020. Students will have full-time hours until fall semester starts.

What you'll do:
  • Assists with the design of innovative code to reduce manual processes and benefit design technology to improve processes
  • Collaborates with business partners to identify and develop strategic plans for process improvements and system application enhancements to resolve basic issues, improve process efficiencies
  • Complete system testing strategies and plans under supervision, to ensure system applications have a positive impact on all areas
  • Create and evaluate basic business requirements, procedures/ policies and review specifications for technology, process and workflow enhancements
  • Maintain improvements designed by troubleshooting and correcting system issues in a timely manner, including on call support
  • Prepare project analysis, as assigned, and present results of improvement efforts and ongoing performance measures processes to Management Team or other business partners

To be considered for this position, you must have:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or associates degree program in Information Services or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.
